a private client asked me to build a treehouse for his two children.
we discussed the design and we decided that it had to be safe, playful and also a little romantic and traditional treehouse.
therefore the design ibecame quite recognizable and simple: a platform with a house on top. we added a stainless steel slide and some real stairs. the tree itself grows completely in the center of the treehouse which was a little tricky.
i choose for douglas wood because you do not need to finish it somehow. it becomes even harder througout the years.
i loved to build it because it is very nice to build outside and to just get started and see what the next step will be.
it is quite a bit more intuitive than furniture design.
and there are more treehouses to come this year!
